Re-intergrating DR Congo's Child Soldiers in Society
(26 Mar 09 - RV) In recent weeks hundreds of traumatised child soldiers who were forced
to fight in the conflict zone in the east of the DR Congo have returned to their homes.
Since 2004 more than 30 thousand children across the country have been demobilised
and reintegrated with assistance from UNICEF and non government organisations. Martin
Mande is a Congolese catholic who has helped child soldiers from Congo’s conflict
re-integrate into society. He spoke to Suzy Hodges about the difficulties involved
