(18 Mar 09 - RV) Pope Benedict XVI is in Cameroon on the first full day of his first
Apostolic voyage to Africa. The Holy Father’s activities scheduled for this morning
include private Mass in the chapel of the Apostolic nunciature, a visit with Cameroon’s
president, Paul Biya and a meeting with the bishops of Cameroon, followed by a formal
luncheon. In the afternoon, Pope Benedict is slated to visit the Minor Basilica of
Mary, Queen of the Apostles, which is built atop the site of the previous Cathedral
of Yaoundé. Festus Tarawalie is in Cameroon with Pope Benedict, and has sent us
