(28 Feb 09 - RV) Myanmar and Cambodia leaders refused today to meet members of the
civic groups from their countries at a Southeast Asian summit taking place in Thailand.
The
bloc has been trying to promote human rights as part of its charter, but has been
unable to make much progress.

community and Thailand are tackling the economic crisis and political stability within
