United States Bishops Issue Letter to President-elect Barack Obama

(17 January 09-RV) The  Archbishop of Chicago and president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Cardinal Francis George this week sent a letter to President-elect Barack Obama on behalf of all the bishops.The letter outlines the bishops' eagerness to work with the new administration, and also cited areas of concern, including life and marriage issues, international affairs and support for the work of faith based initiatives.
