International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

(25 Nov 08 - RV) Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a UN initiative to draw attention to the phenomenon and encourage efforts to stop violence against women. Archbisop Celestino Migliore is the Holy See’s representative to the Permanent Observer mission to the United Nations in New York. He told us more about the work of the Church in helping eradicate violence against women.
