EU Politicians and Church Leaders Meet in Romania

(18 Oct 08 - RV) The 11^th Annual Orthodox Dialogue Conference bringing together European politicians and Orthodox church leaders is taking place this weekend in Romania. The meeting this year is looking at ways of ensuring peace and prosperity in Europe, while working for the harmonious co-existence and reconciliation among different cultures and religions. The European Commissioner responsible for Education, Training, Culture and Youth, Jan Figel, is attending the event. He says dialogue is important for Europe.
