Catholics and Protestants Work Together on Biblical Study

(15 Oct 08 - RV) Yesterday, the Catholic Biblical Federation and the United Bible Societies signed a joint statement on Partnership in Biblical Ministry. The statement pledges that Catholics and Protestants will work closer together in their biblical study. The President of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity, Cardinal Walter Kasper, attended the signing. He spoke to Philippa Hitchen about the role of scripture in ecumenism.
