EU Monitors Patrol Georgian Territory


(01 Oct 08 - RV) European Union monitors began patrolling Georgian territory today and Russian troops allowed some of them into a buffer zone around the breakaway region of South Ossetia.
The war that began on August 7th caused tens of thousands of civilians to flee their homes to makeshift collective centres in schools and abandoned buildings.Jessica Barry is spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tiblisi.
