Hurricane Ike Hits Haiti

(08 Sept 08-RV) Hurricane Ike's torrential rains swelled rivers across Haiti and sent floodwaters gushing into homes overnight, killing at least  58 more people.  The  fourth storm in less than a month raised the death toll on the island to 319. Christian Aid spokesperson Judith Melby told us that with Hurricane season far from over, and agricultural lands destroyed, some 4 million Haitians will need ongoing assistance…
