(08 July 08 - RV) Thailand's courts issued two key rulings against the government
and a member of a ruling party today, decisions that are expected to increase political
pressure on the embattled government.
The Supreme Court ruled against a former
speaker of the parliament in a case of electoral fraud and banned him from politics
for five years.
