Cardinal Stafford on WYD Power to Transform

(08 July 08 - RV) In one week’s time event’s leading up to World Youth Day 2008 will be launched in Sydney Australia.

Cardinal James Francis Stafford, Major Penitentiary of the Catholic Church, spoke with us ahead of next weeks gathering dedicated to Catholic young people.

He was Archbishop of Denver in 1993, when that city was host to World Youth Day, and has been closely connected to subsequent World Youth Days, first as President of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, and later as Major Penitentiary.
