Fouad Twal Receives Pallium from Pope Benedict

(02 July 08 - RV) One of the 40 Metropolitan Archbishops to receive the pallium from Pope Benedict on Sunday was the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fouad Twal. Patriarch Twal is a native of Jordan, and was named coadjutor archbishop of Jerusalem in 2005.  He assumed the office of Patriarch just a week before the Pallium Mass, upon the retirement of his predecessor, Michel Sabbah.
