New Head of Rome's Anglican Centre Installed


(08 May 08 - RV) The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams and the president of the Pontifical Council, Cardinal Walter Kasper presided at Vespers in the Rome basilica of Santa Maria SOPRA Minerva yesterday evening, for the installation of a new director of the Anglican Centre, Rev. David Richardson, former dean of the Anglican cathedral in Melbourne, Australia.

The Centre, located in Palazzo Doria Pamphilij, was set up by Pope Paul VI and former Archbishop of Canterbury Michael Ramsey just after the closing of the Second Vatican Council.
