EU Parliament Embraces Role of Churches and Religions

(05 May 08 - RV) Churches and religions have a role to play in tackling the crucial issues facing contemporary society.

This was the message launched by Hans-Gert Pöttering, President of the European Parliament today at the annual meeting with religious leaders.

We spoke to President shortly after his speech which highlighted the challenges of climate change and inter-cultural dialogue.
