Latin American Bishops Urge Prudence

(07 Mar 08 - RV) Ecuador announced a rare capture of Colombian guerrillas yesterday as Latin American leaders gathered for a summit dominated by a regional crisis over a cross-border raid by Colombia.


The Council of Bishops’ Conferences of Latin America and the Caribbean, or CELAM, has issued a statement calling for principled commitment to finding a peaceful solution to the crisis.
