Cardinal Bertone Heads to Armenia

(4 Mar 08 - RV) Pope Benedict XVI has sent the Holy See’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, to Armenia, for ecumenical encounters and visits with the leaders and faithful of the Church in full communion with Rome. The Cardinal-Secretary’s visit comes at a politically tense moment in the country, after election disputes at the week-end erupted into violence and the military was called in to restore order.
