New U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See

(16 Feb 08 – RV) Harvard Law School Professor Mary Ann Glendon has become the new U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See. A prominent legal scholar of comparative constitutional law and international human rights, Glendon is known as a staunch defender of Catholic doctrine, while also working to expand the inclusion of women in the church. During her introductory speech yesterday, Ms. Glendon expressed her joy about returning to Rome.
