Bishop Pleads for End to War in Sri Lanka

(10 Jan 08 - RV) Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels today promised to fight a full-scale civil war if the government continues its offensive after scrapping the remains of a tattered ceasefire.
The Tiger’s also called on Norway to stay on as peace monitor, even though the formal abandonment of the 2002 truce also ends the Norwegians’ mandate in the country.
