Pakistan's Bishops Call for Restoration of Constitution

(27 Nov 07 - RV)Pakistan's President Gen. Pervez Musharraf visited troops today to bid them farewell a day before standing down as military chief to become a civilian head of state.
The move is aimed at easing the countries political crisis but Musharraf has yet to end emergency rule. Pakistan bishops conference has released a statement welcoming the presidents resignation as army chief but calling on the government to lift its suspension of the constitution.
