United Nations Day Marks History of Human Rights Efforts

(24 Oct. 07 – RV) Today is world United Nations day to mark the important role of the Nnited Nations in global peace and security issues and human rights. Scott Wright is the Pax Christi coordinator for Latin America and the Carribbean. He said the United Nations continues to make important strides in the calling attention to human rights abuses and improving human rights situations.
