Bird Flu Spreads to Bali

(13 Aug 07 - RV) An Indonesian women has died of bird flu in Bali, the first human death from the virus on the resort island hugely popular with foreign tourists. There has been concern that the presence of bird flu in heavily transited areas, such as the Indonesian resort island, could facilitate an outbreak among humans. World Health Organization Spokesman for Avian Influenza, Gregory Hartl, says a worldwide pandemic of some flu strain will happen sooner or later.
