He made the appeal on Tuesday, to several Ambassadors and diplomats of Europe, the Middle East and other Nations at his headquarters in Rome, when he called for peace in the Holy Land, Iraq and the Lebanon. Recalling the constant appeals for peace in the Middle East made by Pope Benedict XVI and late Pope John Paul II, Archbishop Sandri at noon on Tuesday, lit the lamp for peace in the Middle East in front of an icon of the Mother of God.
