(11 Dec 2006 RV) After centuries buried beneath the high altar of the basilica,
the marble sacrophagus containing the remains of the Apostle Paul has been brought
to light for the benefit of pilgrims. The end of excavations at St Paul's Outside
the Walls was marked by a special press conference here at the Vatican. During the
conference the Archpriest of St Pauls, Cardinal Montezemolo announced that the four
major Roman basilicas will be getting a new title. From now on they will be refered
to as Papal basilicas rather than Patriarchal basilicas. Hear More..
