Connor preached the homily at a requiem mass for the victims of the July 7th bombing
attacks. One year ago coordinated suicide bomb attacks targeted commuters on London’s
transport system. The attacks were carried out by young Britons with links to Al
Qaeda. The bombings left 52 people dead. Among the grieving families in the congregation
was Marie Fatayi-Williams who lost her son Anthony on the bus that was blown up in
Taverstock square that morning. Philippia Hitchen spoke to this courageous mother
about the foundation for peace and conflict resolution which she has set up to honour
her son’s memory....
