(20 June -RV 06) The Bishops from the Baltic countries of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia
are in Rome this week on their Ad Limina visits. All three countries joined the European
Union in 2004 and have fast-growing economies. Yet there is fear that after 50 years
of communism and over a decade of western consumerism, they are losing the practice
of Christianity. One Latvian bishop, Antons Justs of Jelgava, says they are trying
to introduce religious education into the country's schools...
