(14 March 2006 - RV) Belarusian polling stations opened today for early voters eager
to cast their ballots for Sunday's presidential election. The vote is being closely
watched amid fears that it will be rigged in favor of the authoritarian incumbent
Alexander Lukashenko, who supports laws that restrict religious practice. Geraldine
