Catholic Schools Targeted in Northern Ireland

(31 Aug 2005 RV) Police in northern ireland say they are treating an arson attack on a

Catholic school as sectarian. A window had been broken and liquid poured in and set alight, just one day earlier another catholic school in the same area was attacked with petrol

bombs. The attacks are blamed on protestant extremists who have recently been

behind similar attacks on catholic churches, homes and businesses.

Martin Kearney is the principal of one of the schools affected - Saint Mary's.

He says that the attacks are just the latest incidents in a sectarian

campaign against catholics...
