(9 June 05 - RV) Pope Benedict today welcomed a high-level delegation of the International Jewish Committee on Inter-Religious Consultations, which represent the world's major Jewish organizations.



The Pope met the delegation in the Hall of the Pontiffs, an Ancient Room of the Vatican Palace.



It is the Pope's first private meeting with a non-Christian delegation.
