The Death of a Film Icon

(8 June 05 - RV) The American actress, Anne Bancroft, has died at the age of 73.
She won an Oscar for the film The Miracle Worker but will perhaps be best remembered for her portrayal of Mrs. Robinson in the film The Graduate.
the Italian filmmaker Franco Zeffirelli worked with Bancroft on the star-studded epic Jesus of Nazareth in the late 1970s.
