Novendiali - Nine Days of Mourning

The 9 days of mourning for Pope John Paul continue with a requiem Mass presided by Cardinal Bernard Law at Saint Peter's Basilica.

This period of mourning is known as 'Novemdiali' and separates the funeral of the late Pope and the opening of the conclave to elect a successor.
