Church leaders denounce the death of an innocent

The Vatican has strongly condemned the death of Terri Schiavo.
Terri died late on Thursday after surviving for thirteen days without food or water.
The Director of the Holy See Press Office, Joaquin Navarro-Valls called Terri’s death a “violation of the sacred nature of life.”
Shortly before her death Cardinal Renato Martino of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace described the court’s decision to remove her feeding tube as murder.
Terri’s death has set a dangerous precedent for thousands of people across the United States who are fed via a feeding tube.
